La Colombe De La Paix - The Dove of Peace is not only a world-famous work of art by Pablo Picasso, but also a symbol with deep meaning. In the biblical story, it represents the Holy Spirit: when the waters of the Flood sank, Noah let a dove fly. It returned with a green olive branch in its beak. It symbolises divine reconciliation with man after the Flood and has thus established itself as a sign of peace. Picasso created this work in 1949 especially for the World Peace Congress.
