Franz Marc was a German painter, draftsman and graphic artist. He is one of the most important Expressionist painters in Germany. Among other things, he was a co-founder of the Der Blaue Reiter editorial group.
The Blue Horse I is also the title of one of his paintings. It is one of his most famous works. The foal was placed in a landscape full of contrasts, which symbolizes the charm of a new beginning with its youthful strength.
