Koenitz Porcelain won the title “Company in Eastern Thuringia”
The jury award “Company in Eastern Thuringia” has been in existence since 2014 and was created by the “Ostthüringer Zeitung” (local eastern Thuringian newspaper, in short “OTZ”) and The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Eastern Thuringia.
Nominated are companies which are innovative, dynamic, and successful but sometimes a bit unknown. This award pushes these companies into public spotlight.
In 2017 we as KOENITZ Porcelain were honoured by being nominated and receiving this award in the fourth quarter of the year. In addition we awarded the jury award, convincing the jury with our high rate of apprentices and trainees and the internal development possibilities. Of course also because of our products.
Our mugs (made by Koenitz) can be found all over the world. At the MoMa in New York, the Louvre in Paris or the Tokyo Skytree – These customers have great expectations concerning the quality of our products. It’s not easy to reproduce masterworks of art on porcelain, after all the ceramic colours have to withstand temperatures of about 860°C. Ceramic silk screen printing cannot use the well-known 4-colour print used for example in poster-printing. In the ceramic screen printing all colours are printed separately and then compared to the original. The result is a deceptively real print of the Mona Lisa; but not just in the Louvre - also for your mug at home.
