Who is the configurator for?
For anyone who needs custom porcelain: merchandising agencies, artists and illustrators, specialty shops, cafés, matcha bars, restaurants and museums. It also works if you simply want personalised mugs.
What is the minimum order quantity?
We produce from 96 pieces upwards. For large orders, we offer individual pricing. Just get in touch.
My idea isn't covered by the configurator. What can I do?
Contact us directly. Many things are possible beyond the standard options. Please give us a call +49 (0) 36732 / 344-0 or send us a mail at info@koenitz-group.com.
What's the difference between Porcelain, Basic Bone and Fine Bone?
Porcelain is brilliant white and durable. Basic Bone is robust and has a warm cream tone. Fine Bone is our most premium material. It is highly translucent, lightweight and pleasant to the touch.
Isn't Fine Bone too delicate for everyday use?
No. Despite its delicate look, Fine Bone is very resistant to edge chipping.
Why don't I see every product for every material?
The available products depend on the material. Once you've chosen a material, the configurator shows the matching range.
What's the difference between all-over print, Art Print and Closed Art Print?
With the all-over print, almost the entire surface is printed, but a 1 cm margin stays free around the handle. The Art Print covers the mug from top to bottom, including the handle. The Closed Art Print also runs from top to bottom but ends directly under the handle. This makes it the best choice for continuous 360° motifs.
When is direct print a good choice?
Direct print is cost-effective and scratch-resistant. It is limited to 2 colours and a print area of 80 × 200 mm. It is available only on models KC2 and KCB502. For an all-around print and a maximum of two colors, it is the most cost-effective decoration.
How many colours can my design have?
Actually there is no limit to the amount of colors that can be printed. It depends on your image.
Can you print anywhere other than the outside?
? Almost anywhere. Options include the inner rim, "over-the-rim" designs that run from the outside to the inside, the inside bottom, a band around the inside, and the handle (inside or outside). A message on the inside bottom only appears once the drink is finished. You can see some references here.
How does the thermo effect work?
The design is hidden at first and slowly appears when a hot drink is poured in.
What can I use a scratch-off area for?
You can hide information under a removable layer. It's ideal for competitions, prizes or surprises.
Is relief print suitable for Braille?
Yes. Relief print adds texture to the mug, which works well for Braille, better grip or a stronger visual effect.
Does a backstamp cost extra?
The Könitz brand backstamp is free of charge. A custom or personalised backstamp lets you add your own design or details such as a name, brand, email address or limited-edition numbering.
What are Smart Boxes?
They are gift boxes that combine your mug with A personalized label, a personalized postcard with your greeting and tea, biscuits, seeds or an item that you send us to be co-packed.
