Asterix, Obelix and Idefix. Who does not know these names?

For more than half a century, the comic books created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo convey timeless values such as friendship, loyalty and humor. The first volume of the most successful French comic series "Asterix" appeared in 1959.

In northwestern Gaul, the protagonists live in the contemplative and fictional coastal village Names "Aremorica". This is threatened by the four camps "Little Bonum", "Babaorum", "Aquarium" and "Laudanum" Roman forces. Thanks to the potion brewed by the Druid Miraculix, the villagers defy to resist the Roman army. The potion gives them superhuman powers, so the defense of the Romans is an ease for them. Thus, the village "Aremorica" is the only place in Gaul that cannot be occupied, to the annoyance of Julius Caesar.

Asterix, one of the protagonists who are bravely defending the village, may not at first look like a warrior. Admittedly he is small but very brave. Likewise, this also applies to the small four-legged companion Idefix. Idefix is the dog of Obelix and accompanies the two, always faithful at their side on their adventures. Obelix is by its stature the complete opposite of Asterix. Large and powerfully built, he provides with its outward appearance at one or the other Romans for immediate intimidation.

The adventures experienced by the heroes take place in the immediate vicinity of the village of "Aremorica" and on the journeys of Asterix and Obelix.

Emphasis, of the adventure taking place in the village is the always unsuccessful attempt of the suppression of this, on the part of the Roman armed forces.

If the heroes Asterix and Obelix receive the order from the Druids Miraculix or from the chief Majestix to travel around, then they usally has the goal to support other threatened villages and defend them off the enemy.

For running gags in the adventures, appearances well-known personalities provide as a caricature illustrations.
